Background and Identification
LG Electronics is a South Korean electronics company that manufactures home entertainment equipment, mobile communications electronics, air solutions, and home appliances—among them refrigerators. They offer refrigerators in a variety of styles: single-door, traditional, French-door, double-door, quad-door, specialty designs—you name it, they probably have it. Since 2014, LG has been focused on making their appliances "smart," adding features allowing the user to connect their smartphone to view usage statistics, predict necessary maintenance, provide diagnostics for repair, and control temperature settings remotely. LG Refrigerators can be identified by the LG "winking face" logo, usually located along the top edge of the fridge. The logo is a stylized human face wherein the nose is an "L" and the edge of the face is a larger "G".
