Background and Identification
The Samsung Galaxy Mega was released in June of 2013 featuring a large 6.3 inch display at 720p. Bundled with a dual-core processor and an 8MP camera.
To identify your device, simply turn off the device and remove the back cover. Next, remove the battery pack, underneath the battery will be an identification sticker that has the serial number of the device. The top of this sticker shows the model number, SGH-i527. This guide is for that model number only.
