Screen freezes

Your e260R turns on, but freezes at the SanDisk logo.

Temporary glitch

The first thing you should try is restarting the device by pressing and holding the power button for 20 seconds, releasing it, then pressing it again to restart. If your problem persists, read on.

Corrupted firmware file

Something may have happened to a system-critical file. In order to solve this, you'll need to start your e260R in recovery mode, then update to the latest firmware version.

Loose memory

It's possible that the memory unit on your e260R may have come loose. You can use the memory installation guide to get into the device to reposition the memory.

Broken LCD

The display itself might be broken. In this case, you'll need to replace it with a new one.

Doesn't hold a charge

The battery doesn't charge at all or goes from fully charged to completely drained unreasonably fast

Bad battery

Rechargeable batteries that are a few years old tend to lose the ability to hold a charge. You may need to replace it with a new one.

Charging port broken

A broken charging port might be preventing the battery from receiving charge. Replacing it could allow the battery to charge.

Doesn't respond to input

Your e260R turns on and gets past the SanDisk logo, but doesn't respond to input

Blocked contacts

There may be dust or other particles preventing the buttons from making the circuit they need to provide input.

Broken motherboard

If your e260R still doesn't respond to input after clearing the contacts, the motherboard may be broken.
