Weak Vacuum Suction
You have trouble with your vacuum having strong suction to pick up debris.
Suction Tube is clogged
Accumulation of Debris caught in suction tube.

Filter is clogged
Visible cracks in filter. Large amounts of debris in filter.

Bad Motor
If vacuum is on and all other problems have been eliminated, consider replacing the motor.

Vacuum Not Powering On
" Vacuum will not power on after charging: check connectors, clean and reconnect. If problem persists check battery, power switch, charging port, charger."
Power Switch
When powering the vacuum on/off, you should hear an audible click. If no audible click is heard see “Link” for replacement.
Bad Battery
Short usage time after fully charging.

Broken Charging Port
When placed on charge, a red light will indicate the vacuum is charging. If no light is visible see “Link” for replacement.
Bad Charger
Before replacing charger, verify all other components are in good working order. If wires are broken or power supply is hot to the touch, consider replacing charger.

when I start my B&D dustbuster it runs for a second and the stops; emitting 2 beeps. What does this mean?. I can’t find a webpage with the error codes.

Vacuum is fully charged but only runs a few seconds and stops. I bought new filters, but it hasn’t helped. What should I do next?

It seems an elronic problem. There's a circuit to control the device with many micro components. The motor is good, I tested it separately. As most of us in this chat have the same problem, it's possibly a manufacturing issue and the manufacturer, seems to me, decided to ignore it.

How do I know what motor is needed for my B&D VACUUM. SUCTION is not what it used to be. Under a year of use . Can I return for a new one? It was a Christmas gift.

Mine makes plenty of noise but does not pick up anything. It’s almost brand new. Filters are clean. Just doesn’t have any suction. Can’t find anything about that problem.

When I start my B&D dustbuster it runs for a second and then stops. It should be fully charged, although I don’t know if the charger or the device is the problem.

less than 9 months old B &D shuts off after 5-10 seconds use have to press start button but does same. With full charge it run strong but continues to shut off. cleaned filter etc

My Black & Decker Dustbuster has very weak suction. It was just bought this summer, and it’s not what I was expecting from B & D, whose products are usually excellent. I’m sorry I bought it.

I was only able to use once, I loved it, but now will not charge.
I bought a new charging cord bit still will not light up when charging, will not power on.
Very disappointed.
