Hello, my name is Madison Del Pozo and I am a Junior at the University of Rhode Island with a major in Health Studies. I chose this major because I have always wanted to work in the health field, but I was not sure what exact role I waned to play. As a Health Studies major, I have the opportunity to take many different classes and have a broad range of options to experience all different parts of this field. At this point in time, I would like to become certified as an Ultrasound Technician after my years at URI. It is normally a two year program that I hope to be enrolled in after I graduate here in 2025. Special skills I would like to share are my costumer service skills that i have strengthened over time working in a grocery store, as well as babysitting and petsitting. It is important to create strong relationships with parents and pet owners while I do these jobs, and I believe I am skilled in creating and maintaining these relationships. I have not fixed anything, but am eager to learn how to do so, so that I can apply these learned skills to my future endeavors. I belong to the Sigma Delta Tau, Alpha Beta chapter here at the University of Rhode Island where I have experienced a large sense of community and giving back. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends, family and pets. My experience with this project will benefit me as I will learn new communication and writing skills that I will be able to carry with me as I finish college, and begin my career. A fun fact is that I have a very packed house back home with three younger sisters, two dogs, and two cats.

My Senior year of High School, I took a sculpture class, and this is my sculpture of a dancer in pose. While I do not consider myself any type of artist, it was very fun and cool to take this class and work with all different types of materials to build different things. This particular sculpture was made of wire and plaster, then painted to give it a metallic finish.

These are my two cats, up top Oliver, and on the bottom Lulu. We've had them for about 4 years and I love to spend time with them. They have great personalities and are extremely friendly. Lulu in particular is very social and loves to be the center of attention.
