Background
The Microsoft Surface line is a series of 2-in-1 tablets and detachable laptops developed by Microsoft. The Surface line was first introduced in 2012 with the release of the Surface. This was a hybrid device that combined the features of a tablet and a laptop. It had a touchscreen display, a detachable keyboard, and a kickstand that allowed it to be used in a variety of positions. The Surface line also included the Surface Pro's, which were an upgraded model. The regular Surface line ended with the Surface 3.
