Why does oven take 5 minutes to toast?
Hi - I have a GE Cafe Cafe series double wall oven CT9800sh4ss. In the upper microwave/oven, setting to Toast, it takes 5 minutes to toast a piece of bread on one side then another 5 minutes n the other side.
I notice when it is toasting, there are two lamps in the ceiling of the unit. Only the lamp on the right lights up during toasting. My guess is, the one the left is also supposed to be heating/toasting. I just can't imagine it is supposed to take 10 minutes to toast a piece of bread. I called GE customer support and they said yes, the lamp on the left should be lighted, but I don't know if I trust them.
Looking at the schematics, the lamp on the left is Part #5513 Heater Miraclon Wb21X10143 replaced by WB44X41527. The lighted lamp on the right is Part #3080 Heater Halogen Wb21X10142 replaced by WB21X28572.
1) Does anybody know definitively if both of these lamps should be lighted when toasting? If so I would imagine the bulb needs to be replaced, although that doesn't look like a simple task.
2) If the bulb on the left does need to be replaced, is that something Joe Average homeowner (me!) can do or should I call in the professionals?
Thanks!

Hi @russellbak30867
Since you have the schematics i.e. wiring diagram (GE p/n 31-17239 mini manual - I can't find it online) it should show how both elements are operated.
If you're not sure how to read the schematics post an image of the schematics in your question for further help.
