Some of my keys do not work all the time?

I am an owner of compaq presario C700 laptop.My problem is certain of my keys do not work all the time.

Two months before my a,s,d and f1,f2,f3,f8 and delete were not working.Then after a month all came back and the Ctrl,Shift,Del etc were not working.Now they came back and I am not able to get Enter,Del,0,1etc and the up and down arrows.Some of my key like L work on their own.I performed a Os reinstall and took out just the whole keypad and the connection the plastic strip and re attached it again.Nothing happend.I can type the others fine.When the L key works automatically I just taps the L and the keys nearby to stop it.Why is this.Please help me...

Thank you oldturkey03 for your answer.You said something about bad keyboard processor! If thats the case will the external usb keyboard work?In my case the external works great.So it could be the keyboard right? Please tell me cause I dont want the worse case scenario to happen!!

Fawaz Faizal, from what you are telling us, I would replace the keyboard. It sounds like it makes intermittent contacts, possibly due to a short-circuit is some of the traces. there is of course also a possibility that it is your keyboard cable, or the connector. Worst case scenario would be a bad keyboard processor. Replace the keyboard, they are available at multiple places and are not that expensive. You might want to Google for a supplier to your geographical area. Here is a video showing you the replacement and here is the service manual. Hope this helps, good luck.

You are right, if your USB keyboard is working, just replace the laptop one and it will work:-)
