ifixit is a supplier of parts and tools to repair mainly Apple products and other electronic devices.
This forum is hosted by ifixit so that people can get advice on how to fix things for themselves.
Perhaps search online for suppliers of umbrella frames (example only) that suit the type of umbrella that you want.

No matter what the thing is, the construction of that thing is very important. Not only the way you build but the material you use also matters a lot. For example, I'm Austin roofer and I prefer the materials and construction method according to the weather and how man y times it rains here in a month. So, it all depends on the strategy.
