USB port needs to be repaired/replaced.

Hey. As Jayeff said,you can fix it yourself,but it’s not easy unless you have skill,good tools,and practice. You can have it repaired.
you can check for a local repair shop. But I do recommend Northridgefix if you can’t find a repair shop nearby. Northridgefix makes YouTube videos on his repairs,and generally will repair micro USB ports. He is reputable. So check him out if you can’t find someone nearby.

I deleted my answer because I don't know how easy it is to find the replacement part.
It may not be a standard USB type port.
It is described as a
"Audio/Video Out digital terminal, Analogue Video Stereo audio output for personal computer communication and direct printing high speed USB equivalent.
Looking at the image of the motherboard that I found online the port on it has more connections than a USB port, most probably a USB-C but I don't know.
Hey. The port is called a usb mini b. It is the kind the PS3 controller and older MP3 players typically used,as well as some calculators nowadays. You’re right in it being a bit hard to find the part. The port itself is possible to find,but it may be hard to find the port to fit the hole layout of the canon logicboard(the holes that the structure pins go into). Generally repair techs will find a way to source a part.
