I've replaced my MacBook Logic Board, but the screen is black. If I tilt the screen all the way down and shine a light on it, I can see the desktop. I guess this is a back-light failure? If anyone has a solution or a suggestion on how to proceed here, I'd be very grateful, since I would hate to have wasted the money I've spent on fixing my comp, and not being able to finish. Thanks for help!

Sounds to me like you have a bad inverter or bad inverter cable. Here's how I replace it: MacBook Core 2 Duo LCD & Inverter A1181 (fast method) Replacement
Is there a reason you replaced the logic board first?
You check my diagnostic hook it up to an external monitor.

The reason why I replaced the Logic Board first is that the computer was dead Replacing logic board from E-bay another thing is, the MacBook doesn't recognize my DVD unit anymore, but I assume I must have not connected it back properly after putting it back together.
I guess I'll get a new inverter with the cable and try to replace them and post back how it went. Thanks again for help, talk to you soon!

Hey, they say "Better late than never" :)
Anyways, I found enough time to play with my MacBook again and this time it works. I don't know where the problem was the first time, but everything's OK, except the DVD unit. I also upgraded the RAM to 4GB, and it works like a charm.
Just wanted to follow up on my previous post, thanks again for all the help!
