Keyboard not turning on
When the keyboard is switched on none of the keys are responding and the LED indication lights are not on.
Improperly installed battery
The battery might not be installed correctly, it might be backwards or there might be a poor connection between the battery and the battery port. Flip over the keyboard to find the battery panel on the back. Pry off the panel with your fingers and take out the battery. Let the keyboard sit for a few minutes and then reinsert the battery. Make sure the battery is fully seeded into the battery compartment and is facing the right direction. Now hopefully the keyboard will power on like normal.
Faulty battery
Flip over the keyboard to find the battery panel on the back. Pry off the panel with your fingers and take out the old battery. Place a new AAA battery in its place and hopefully this solves the problem. Still not working? Check that the battery is flipped the correct way. Also make sure that the battery port is clean. If you need to clean it make sure to use isopropyl alcohol as it is electronic safe.
Keyboard not connecting to the computer
When typing on the keyboard the inputs do not show up on the computer.
Keyboard not switched on
First thing first check that the keyboard is switched on. On the right-hand side of the keyboard above the number pad is the power switch. Make sure the switch is in the on position.
Dongle not properly plugged in
The keyboard comes with a USB dongle that must be plugged in to establish a connection. Plug it into an available USB port on your device. If it is still not connecting, attempt to plug it into another available USB port.
Poor connection to dongle
If the keyboard is having trouble pairing to the dongle the keyboard has built in functions to restart the connection. Turn on the power switch and keep the keyboard within 20cm of the dongle for better pairing. Press and hold the "ESC" and "K" keys together to pair the keyboard with the dongle.
Dead battery
Flip over the keyboard to find the battery panel on the back. Pry off the panel with your fingers and take out the old battery. Place a new AAA battery in its place and hopefully this solves the problem. Still not working? Check that the battery is flipped the correct way. Also make sure that the battery port is clean. If you need to clean it make sure to use isopropyl alcohol as it is electronic safe.
Keyboard keycaps crunching
When typing on the keyboard the keycaps make a crunching sound.
Material is stuck under the keycaps
Over time material builds up under keycaps which can hinder their function. To remove the material you can use a can of compressed air to blow the material free and restore function to the keycaps.
Food stuck under keycaps
Food can get stuck under the keycaps if someone eats and they accidentally spill crumbs on the keyboard. The crumbs can get stuck under the keycaps and can cause a crunching sound. (see full guide)
Keycaps stuck in the keyboard
When keycap(s) get stuck in the up or down position on the keyboard.
Buildup of debris
Over time there can be a buildup of debris underneath the key causing the key to stick to the membrane when pressure is applied instead of returning to its original state.
To clean the keyboard without disassembling the keyboard you can use a small pry tool like a toothpick gently lift the keycap and gently scrape underneath. Afterward, use a can of compressed air (if available) to clear any remaining debris (see full guide).
Another way to clear out debris from under the keys is by fully disassembling the keyboard to gain access to the keyboard membrane and the underside of all the keys. This allows a deep clean of components (see full guide).
Damaged keycap
If the keycap has been damaged causing it to get stuck inside of the keyboard the only option will be to remove it. To properly remove the keycap you can (see full guide). Once you remove the keycap you can attempt to place it back in the proper place provided it has not sustained heavy damage to prevent you from doing so. There are no options in terms of replacing a keycap to this device.
Delayed key inputs
When typing there is a delay between what you type and what shows up on your device.
Dongle not fully plugged in
Unplug the dongle from the USB port it is plugged into and then put it back in. If your inputs are still delayed unplug the dongle from the USB port it is in and plug it into a different port.
Dead battery
First turn off the keyboard with the power switch, then flip over the keyboard. On the back, there is a battery cover on the left-hand side of the keyboard. Open the cover to access and replace the battery. Replace your battery with a AAA Battery then put back the cover and turn the keyboard back on.

my brand new out of the box PC230A is not working- I have a charged battery in there, the driver is properly installed but I keep getting the low battery message. I have read and followed the troubleshooting directions here to no avail. Can anybody offer advice?

It randomly turned off and will no longer turned on. I tried the following; restarting my computer, flipping the switch a couple times, etc. this keyboard will not longer turn on.
(I’ve only owned it for 2 months)
