Stereo Will Not Turn On

You have trouble turning the stereo on.

Face Plate Disconnected

Check the face plate to make sure it is securely attached to head unit.

Blown Fuse

If the radio will not turn on, first check the fuse located at the back of the radio. If the fuse is burnt, replace with a fuse of the same amperage rating.

Loose Wiring Connections

Check the wiring located at the back of the radio. Make sure the wires are attached properly and securely. Also, look for wiring shorts: when two wires are touching when they are not supposed to.

No Sound Can Be Heard

Your Kenwood KDC-BT362U audio cannot be heard.

Volume Level

Loose/Shorted Wiring Connections

Check the wiring located at the back of the radio. Make sure the wiring is attached properly and securely. Also, look for wiring shorts: when two wires are touching when they are not supposed to.

Bluetooth Crackling Sounds

The device that is connected to the Bluetooth might be too far. Move the device closer to the stereo.

Reconnect Bluetooth Device

Turn the Bluetooth off on the device, then turn it back on to reconnect to the stereo.

CD May Be Dirty

Eject the CD and check for fingerprints and smudges. Proceed to clean the CD off with a small cloth and rubbing alcohol. Wipe the CD from the center outwards. Then, reinsert the CD into the stereo.

Faulty AUX Cable

Disconnect and reconnect the AUX cable. If the problem persists, replace the AUX cable.

CD Insert Errors

"CD cannot be inserted."

Press and hold the eject button to remove the disk from the CD-drive.

The CD may have been inserted upside down. Eject the CD, flip it and reinsert it.

Recopy the files from the USB device into the stereo.

I am having the same exact issue.

andreaaj47 -

Same with mine. Exact same symptoms.

Had this issue. Inserted a CD to force the unit to change sources, and then was able to use the unit again. Then went into the settings and disabled Pandora.

Hey ddwifeone, you just saved me a bunch of headaches. Had a dead battery, came back to a stuck radio… I just stuck a cd and it fixed the mode (SRC) problem! Thanks! I would recommend this as an easy troubleshooter before you pay someone to fix it…

My unit the dpx301u worked fine untill it started to get cold then it would turn on, on its own after a certain amount of time (I assumed it just needed to warm up) then it would do that and then turn off after some time, but now it won't turn on at all I've checked the fuses and wires and the computer board isn't burnt out either and it doesn't look like there's anything wrong with wiring nothing was lose or unplugged but now it just won't turn on??? Even if it's warm out

Thank You! I had the same issue and tried everything from removing the face plate to resetting the stereo. Watched several videos and then ran across this. Popped a CD in and removed it and Voilà it worked. I wish I could have found a link to this sooner.

my phone won't stay connected to it, by Bluetooth it keeps cutting in and out like it's too far even though I'm right next to it or the phone is underneath of the stereo
