Flip the laptop over so that the back cover is facing up.

Unscrew the captive Phillips screw securing the RAM cover.

Use an opening tool to pry up the ethernet connector cable from its socket near the RAM module.

Disconnect the cable.

Remove the thirteen 6.8 mm long Phillips screws securing the back cover.

Grasp the battery cable near its motherboard socket and pull the connector horizontally out of the socket.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
For optimal performance, calibrate your newly installed battery: Charge it to 100% and keep charging it for at least 2 more hours. Then use your device until it shuts off due to low battery. Finally, charge it uninterrupted to 100%.
