Walking through a ghost town and admiring the dilapidated houses’ tin roofs.
Crawling through an abandoned complex long gone and deciphering the graffiti pasted on over time.
Driving my Suzuki Samurai along old Native American trails.
Soaking in the concentrated, complex culture of an old city center.
Standing in absolute darkness and silence in ancient lava tubes.
Eating fresh made gelato for the third time while watching the sun set.
These are a few moments of life I have enjoyed.
I was born in Shanghai, China. My family headed for San Francisco when I was five, and that's where I grew up most of my life.
I wanted to be an inventor! So, I pursued electrical engineering (I really should have chosen mechanical engineering, but that's another story!) I got schooled hard at Cal Poly and finally left with a MS in EE with a focus on mechatronics and control systems. Along the way, I also found my life purpose and my best friend.
- Playing, explaining, and promoting modern board games.
- Taking stuff apart (not necessarily to put back together)- because I'm curious!
- Playing violin in ensembles. I am currently involved with Cal Poly's Arab Music Ensemble.
- Going on adventures! Visiting places I haven't been before!
- Trying out new foods of different ethnicities.

Responder a: My KitchenAid KSM7586PCA 7-Quart Pro line burnedHi Claudete, It looks like there is no easy fusible link to replace, so something is probably burned out on the control board. Follow this guide to take the mixer apart to the control board (step 6). See if you can see any burned components. If you reply with a picture of the board (like this), we may be able to help identify what part is burned out. The cheapest solution may be to buy a replacement board, or go to an electronics repair shop.

Responder a: Which parts/kits needed to replace LCD&Dig and Battery on iPh 7+?Hey Keith, You basically need to make sure you cover all the tools and parts in the battery and screen guides. In your case, there are two major routes: (1) Full screen kit (and guide link), which includes many small parts already pre-mounted on it, making replacement much easier. The kit will also have all the tools you’ll need for a battery replacement. You would just need to purchase the following parts: (1.1) Replacement battery (1.2) Replacement battery strips (2) Bare LCD and digitizer (guide link), which is tailored for more experienced repairers. Since that is a bare part, you will need to purchase all the tools and parts (like the stickers and adhesive) listed in the guide, in additional to the battery & battery strips.

Responder a: New power cord not charging new MacBook Air batteryHi Erin, It somewhat sounds like the charger isn't supplying enough current to power the laptop and the battery. If you have access to a different charger, I would suggest trying that first…even if it means stopping by your local Apple store and plugging it in there!

Responder a: catalytic converter replacement is needed. Can I drive car?The catalytic converter’s primary function is to reduce harmful emissions into the environment. Your car will still run without one, but it should be replaced soon (definitely before smog tests). Depending on the car, the check engine light may also light up.
