This guide will walk you through the necessary steps for replacing the power jack on your Toshiba Satelite E45W-C4200X.

  1. TOSHIBA Satellite E45W-C4200X DC Power Jack Replacement, DC Power Jack: passo 1, imagem 1 %32 TOSHIBA Satellite E45W-C4200X DC Power Jack Replacement, DC Power Jack: passo 1, imagem 2 %32

    • Remove the ten 1 mm screws that secure the back cover using a Phillip's #1 screwdriver.

    • Use plastic opening tool to separate the back cover from the laptop.

    • Go slowly and be careful as the plastic can crack.

    • It is recommended that you start from a corner and run the tool along the edge

    • Using a Phillips # 1 screwdriver, remove the three screws holding the bracket over the ports on the right side.

    • Remove the bracket.

    • Unplug the power cable harness from the motherboard.

    • Lift the power jack out of its slot in the top right corner.

    • Remove the cable.
