Why cant it connect to another computer?
my sister had an iphone 3G. she now has a iphone 4 so she gave her iphone 3G to me. i cant connect the iphone to my itunes. why is that?

Do you have the current iTunes? Have you tried to do either a "soft reset" or a "hard reset"? These will usually fix the connection issue.
"Soft Reset" = Hold the power button and the home button down at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until you see the apple logo.
"Hard Reset" = Go to: Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
The hard reset will erase everything on the phone including all settings and data. Please be aware of this before trying, but it is also the most effective way to get the phone to connect to iTunes. I hope this information helps you.
