Why is my ac compressor magnetized?

Hey Cline, your A/C compressor clutch is supposed to be magnetic when there is power at the clutch coil, this is how the clutch engages the internal components of the compressor with the pulley that is being driven by your serpentine belt. To help you figure out why your A/C isn’t working, with the car running, turn your A/C to Max/Recirculate, and see if you see the clutch on the front of the compressor engage. If not I can guide you from there!
