Getting my mouse to work

The touchpad and mouse work concurrently.

Are you using a corded or USB mouse?

For the USB mouse, are you sure that the mouse has good batteries, and the receiver to the cordless mouse is plugged into the laptop you are using?

@noewhere, what kind of mouse are you using?

a) A corded mouse, b) a bluetooth mouse, c) a cordless mouse with receiver

For a) make sure the mouse is plugged in

for b) does your laptop have bluetooth? If so, make sure it is properly paired, and the mouse has batteries. If you do not have bluetooth, you will need to get a separate bluetooth receiver.

for c) make sure the receiver is plugged into a working usb slot, and the mouse has fresh batteries

In all of these, you should be able to control the mouse and touchpad at the same time.
