HDD disappears after connecting to Laptop
Hi,
I dropped my extrenal HDD to floor yesterday and since then it stopped working. It is a 1TB seagates HDD. I checked the blue light which is suppose to be stable but since the drop it is blinking. I tried to connect it with my desktop still the same. Tried to change the cable and it is still the same. When i connect the HDD to PC i hear USB connection sound on PC, it appears on Device manager then within seconds it disappears. I opened the external casing and removed the HDD, replace the USB chip with another HDD, and it works fine. What could be the problem in this case, is it repair able and can the data be recovered without any loss. I have like 10 yrs of photo collection on this HDD.
Please help...

@mayer I have already removed the hard disk from the existing enclosure, but instead of testing it in a new enclosure, I did quite opposite. I tried to check my existing enclosure of Seagate with an old hard disk from laptop and it worked. So it seems something is wrong with the hard disk.
@thomask Well yes that's what I did. I removed the hard disk from the external enclosure and replaced the hard disk with another laptop hard disk that was lying around. There is no issue, the hard disk is getting detected.
With respect to hard disk spinning, I don't feel anything. it seems as if there is power to it. I tried to run seatools but all I could notice in the hard disk listed are my Laptops internal hard disk.
