How to determine if the LCD is bad after drop
Hi,
I have an iPad air that was dropped about 4' onto a ceramic tiled floor. The iPad landed on the left edge (opposite of volume control edge). After the fall, the screen is white/grey with horizontal lines. The lines are not consistent and seem to change from just a few to sometimes filling the whole screen.
I successfully removed the front glass and LCD and unplugged and replugged the associated connectors and reassembled. I did this in an attempt to correct any possible connection problems. Alas, this did not correct the problem.
I was wondering if my problem is most likely a damaged LCD and replacing the LCD would correct the problem. Is there a way I can determine that the problem is a damaged LCD?
I'm willing to purchase an LCD if I can get some sort of confirmation that this would resolve the issue.
If I purchase an LCD and install, but it does not resolve the issue, may I return the LCD for a refund?
Thanks,
Kevin
