It is completly dead, I have tried to charge it but it stays on the red battery, I've also have tried all the iPod chargers in the house but still won't work. How I get it to charge?

I had an ipod with a bad battery also. Buy a replacement... they are cheap and worth it because its outdated and its not going to recover.

Yes it's an phillips #000 screwdriver. Be Carefull wenn you are removing the Batterycable, the connector breaks easily on an iPhone4/4s
