Hi! My name is Wynter & I'm a senior at the University of Rhode Island majoring in Communications Studies and minoring in writing. I chose these areas of study because four years ago I was unsure where I wanted to go in my professional career. However, I knew I truly loved communicating, writing, and working with people. This now transfers into the professional world as I would like to work in something along the lines of marketing, fundraising, and development after school. My skills lie in my strong fundamentals in writing and a very updated knowledge of best practices for communications development. I am particularly proud of the work I did as an intern with Family Service of Rhode Island. For one of their annual fundraiser, I put together a collection of items for their silent auction that raised over $6,000.

Up until this year, I had been a member of URI's D1 swimming & diving team.

Outside of school, I now intern part-time with a law firm writing marketing materials and editing client alerts written by the lawyers. Hobbies I enjoy are reading fantasy books, walking in nature, and spending time with my loved ones. I am excited to work on this project with the IFixIt team as it will give me professional & published experience in writing and editing technically. I do not have prior repair experience, however, I want to learn to change a tire on a car.
