Hi, my name is Aubrey and I am a first-year student at UC Davis majoring in Design. I plan on double majoring (or at least minoring) in another field within the College of Letters and Sciences. In the future, I hope to pursue a career in Interior Design. I like to spend time with friends & family, watch movies, thrift, and explore new places. I would describe myself as a creative, hard-working, and adaptable person.
I don't have a ton of repair experience and most of the repairs I've done have been small fixes related to clothing or accessories. I would love to learn to fix more mechanical things, such as bikes and household appliances. I am pretty good at finding hacks and temporary solutions to problems, so I hope to become more adept with long-term repairs through this project.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills in person and via technology
- Able to work independently and as a cooperative team member
- Fast learner and punctual
- Thoroughly organized
These pictures are from my final project I created with my group last quarter for DES001. This was a fun, engaging project and I felt the course was a good introduction to the design community at UC Davis. We spent a long time drafting ideas, receiving feedback from peers and instructors, and ultimately manifesting our work into a physical prototype. It helped me utilize my communication skills, innovative thinking, and hands-on learning.
