+[* black] Finally we will be adjusting the intonation. The intonation refers to the pitch accuracy - that is, how accurate each fretted note is to the note it is supposed to create. Tune your instrument to your preferred tuning by turning the tuning pegs on the headstock. It's important to make sure your guitar is in tune for this step!
+[* black] A good test to see how accurate your guitar intonation is is to fret the twelfth note of a string, and then play the harmonic of the twelfth fret (gently rest your finger on the twelfth fret and pluck the string). If the harmonic of the twelfth fret and the fretted twelfth fret are the same note, then your guitar is properly intonated.
+[* black] We will once again be at the guitar bridge for this. On the bottom of the bridge, there are screws that we will be adjusting, so you'll need your screwdriver for this step.
+[* black] If the fretted note is sharper than the harmonic (or is higher in pitch), the string needs to be lengthened by turning the screw on the bottom of the screw counterclockwise. If the fretted note is flatter than the harmonic (or lower in pitch), then the string needs to be shortened by turning the pitch clockwise.
