-[* black] The mystery of the electrical heart sensor still remains.
- [* red] These could be the contacts that send electrical signals into your wrist through your arm.
- [* light_blue] While these areas are insulators between the two conducting plates.
-[* icon_caution] Question to tekriders: whats that golden plated thing for? Can't think of anything right now. Maybe for meassuring the difference between the impuls sent and the one received through the digital crown. Has to much electronic on it to just sit there.
+[* black] Apple upped its heart rate sensing game, adding electrical tracking ([https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrocardiography|ECG|new_window=true]) to its previous optical tracking sensors.
+ [* icon_note] The Apple Watch is a [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrocardiography#Limb_leads|Lead I|new_window=true] ECG, which means it's only measuring between the right and left arms. The first electrode is the Watch back pressed against your wrist, the second is the crown, held by your opposite hand's fingers.
+ [* black] These electrodes detect the tiny changes in electrical polarization across your skin while your heart beats. The watch then interprets that data to give you heart rate and other data.
+[* black] So, where's that wrist electrode? There are several ribbon cables that disappear into the glass, which may be providing conductors and insulators for this system.
+[* black] This golden donut is ''likely'' an antenna, but it would be way cooler if it were reading your electricity, wouldn't it?
