The gap previously present should be gone or at least significantly diminished. To remove the door gap tape for any reason, simplygently peel back the tape and clean any lingering adhesive with isopropyl alcohol. Peeling back the tape aggressively may result in damage to the door paint depending on the strength of the adhesive present.
