Use this guide to replace a faulty gas cylinder in your Respawn RSP-110 Gaming Chair.

Gas cylinders adjust the seat height in wheeled office and gaming chairs to the user's desired level. However, these chairs may sink over time and not remain at the same level. If you notice your chair not maintaining its height, you can replace its gas cylinder.

Since this process requires using a mallet, take special care not to hurt yourself.

Passo 1 Gas Cylinder

Below the seat, push the lift lever up to extend the chair to its full capacity.
To the left of the lift lever, push the lock lever up to ensure the backrest is vertical.

Lay the chair horizontally with its legs in their open position.

Optional: Place a towel over the bottom end of the cylinder to avoid damaging it in the next step.

Use rubber mallet to strike the bottom of the cylinder firmly to dislodge it.
If the cylinder remains lodged, continue striking it with the rubber mallet until it dislodges.
Exercise caution to prevent damage and avoid injury while dislodging the cylinder.

Using the pipe wrench/vise-grip, twist the cylinder out of place.
You will need to twist clockwise or counter-clockwise repeatedly until the cylinder releases.

Get your new gas cylinder.
Make sure that the plastic cylinder cover is around the cylinder.
Attach the cylinder to the underside of the seat, and twist counterclockwise.

Place the bottom of the cylinder into the chair base and twist to lock it just enough to safely stand it upright
If the cylinder is not secure enough, the chair may fall apart.

Stand the chair upright.
Place your knee on the seat and hold the armrests.
Apply pressure on the middle of the seat to ensure that the cylinder is locked in place.
