What type of grease do we use in hand grinder?

Please help me to know what type of grease it is or what should be the base of the grease to be used in hand grinder.

Those instructions are malicious. Not everyone will realize that it very much matter what type of grease you put in there. It will need to cope with high speed, friction and heat. If it doesn't then you'll burn out the gear.

I suggest you update the article with recommended grease or at least mention this.

Hi, what is the recommended grease?

Can I use white lithium grease. Thanks my brushes appear to about half an inch long if the grease doesn’t work going to try them????

Angle grinders use a PAO lithium soap grease. Most use Nye Lubricants RheoLube 380, which is hard to source or expensive to buy.

You may substitute with Dupont Molykote G4700 grease. ereplacementParts.com has the Nye grease.

Hi, I’m trying to replace the spindle of my ga4030 with the one from the ga4530, to effectively make it into a 4-1/2” model. Looking at the parts list for both of these grinders, it appears they are identical except for the spindle, disc retaining nuts, and wheel shroud/guard. Do you know if this mod is possible? It looks like I would just need to remove that small bearing that’s pressed on to the top of the spindle.
