Before beginning, be sure to acquire enough thread to perform the fix, at least 20 inches, because too little thread and the fix may not be possible.

Place the broken elastic loop back in its original position on the blouse.

Pass the needle through the stitch line where the elastic loop was originally secured, then back through the base of the elastic loop, at least 6-7 times.

Don't pull the thread tight; leave a loop to tie off the thread.

Insert your needle through the loops, then pull the thread tight.
