Hello!
I'm troubleshooting my Canon EOS Rebel T2i and I was wondering if you could spare some advice.
The camera turns on correctly, I can browse the menu and change the photo settings without any issue. At this point, I can also turn the camera off using the power switch.
The problem appears when I take a shot. Regardless if there is a lens installed or not, the screen remains black and the little LED at the bottom-right stays solid red. The camera instantly freezes and ceases to function.
A couple of observations:
* The mirror seems to work fine. I can hear the mirror going up and down when I take the shot, and I can physically see the mirror moving when shooting without the lens.
* If no memory card is installed, the LED light remains unlit. If present, stays on solid.
Lastly, if the camera freezes, I must remove the battery to turn the camera off. The power switch won't engage.
Do you guys have an idea of the part(s) at fault?
Thanks!
