It happen to me many times. Dont start new game, replace rom and save file on computer. Use Gameboy advance on PC and get into game. Save game normaly go to some options and use option to get file out(i dont remember how it says but i will check, try somethinks) after that replace these files on phone and it will be fixed. ;-)
