The incompatibility of the 2nd gen Apple Pencil with the 2024 iPads stumps me. I tried putting my 2nd gen pencil on my new 13" iPad Air but they definitely changed the polarity and/or placement of the magnets. The Air is also unable to see the device over Bluetooth when it should be discoverable.

Would be interesting to see a teardown of the Pencil Pro where it is compared to the Gen 2 pencil to see what changed.

Okay lately my laptop has not been turning on but the fan was spinning really loud and fast as usual they say it's bad ram I thought so too but when I replaced the ram it still did not work and I also experimented my ram on another laptop and it worked perfectly

plugged into USB - device manager finds it, says it working fine, even went to see about updating driver and says I have updated driver

however it will not function - only touchpad mouse works (even tried fn f9 to turn off touchpad)

The first two are power, the last two is the data output.

Are you sure the camera is working?

Here’s the other side connection verify the lines

PP5V_S3_Camera is the positive power line (Red) and the frame ground (Black) is the negative side. Do you measure power?

1. I have a Z-shaped wire loose which I assume goes into a hole somewhere in the back of the dial that controls the heat / AC unit and can't fine the place to stick it in. Need to turn off the heat in the summer and switch to AC.

2. I took the unit apart to find the control mechanism that changes air flow from dash vent to floor to defrost and various combinations. Can't find that either. I've been told it is way up inside the dashboard but can't reach that far. do I need to take the entire dash cover off to get to it?

@ked78660 that is a question that only you can answer. We do not know what you use your computer for. $200 to keep a decent computer going is actually pretty reasonable. Think about it this way. What can you get for $200 that is better than the computer you have? Not much, right? My suggestion would be to go for it!
