Will battery prices increase as a result of the ram shortage?
I have an acer nitro 5 AN517 and it is overall a still usable machine it is just the battery life has suffered after about 3 years of use. It is now down to 80% of the original capacity. I will need to go study abroad in about one year meaning I have to have a somewhat powerfull laptop if I am going to be running VMs and this is the only one that I already have that can fit this description. Is it better to buy a battery now and maybe use it occasionally (I use this laptop like once or twice a month now because I now have a desktop) or will the prices just stay the same meaning I can buy said battery in about a year's time? The current battery does not seem to have any voltage sags or any other issues outside of just usual wear from three years of being plugged in 24/7 when it was my main pc from 2022 to 2025.
