Disconnect all connectors from the logic board, gently bending the flex cables away so they they aren't close enough to make contact.

You can remove components as you like for easier access to others but the more you remove, the more you need to reassemble later. The idea is to limit the number of parts that are in play—not to dismantle the whole phone.
