Background and Identification
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is an Android-based tablet that belongs to Samsung's high-end "S" line, distinguished by its ultra-thin design and Super AMOLED screen that features high contrast ratios, a wide range of colors, and deep black levels. It was first announced at a Samsung press release on July 20th, 2015, and was officially released on September 3, 2015.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 features a 2.1 MP front-facing camera, 8.0 MP rear-facing camera, HD video recording, screen resolution of 2048x1536 pixels, and a fingerprint sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 has a smooth matte finish and curved edges, unlike the dimpled back and square edges of the original Tab S. Additionally, the S2 is noticeably lighter and thinner than its predecessor (9.3 oz vs. 10.37 oz, respectively).
