Background
The Canon Powershot G1 X Mark II, released spring-2014, is the successor to the Canon Powershot G1 X that debuted in 2012. The Mark II features improvements on its predecessor such as a 24-120mm F2.0-3.9 lens that can shoot better in low light situations, a quicker autofocus, improved minimum focus distance, and a smaller footprint.
Identification
The Powershot G1 X Mark II can be identified by the prominent white “G1 X” stamped on the front casing, as well as the model name printed on top of the pop-out flash.
