When I try to use the internet I get a message stating that there is a "Connection Problem" or " Could not establish a secure connection ".
I have done a factory reset and the wifi is connected with a strong signal.
I tried speaking to Samsung but they were not helpful.
The tablet switches on and seems to function OK and I would just like to get some more use out of it.

Try starting the tablet in safe mode and check if you can connect to the internet OK.
Here's an article that details the procedure to enter and exit safe mode

Thank you for this suggestion but unfortunately it did not solve the problem
