@marklambie Do you have a computer?

@marklambie just making sure. You are wanting to know how to create an audio CD that you can then play in your Caravan's CD player? Does it have the factory sound system installed or is it an aftermarket system?

The original factory sound system

Factory cd players may be adhering to copyright music. WAV files are used in original CDs and easily played in vehicle factory cd players. However, if you tried to play mp3 CDs, they won't play. WAV files are larger while mp3 files are compressed. Aftermarket cd players will specify wav and/or mp3 file compatibility. Many aftermarket radios may have an audio mp3 input port to plug in portable mp3 players for non stop music. Try a cd with mp3 music and if it doesn't play, you'll have to convert mp3 files to wav files then burn a cd to play in your cd player.

Use something like Exact Audio Copy or iTunes, as those make CDs that tend to be "Redbook compliant" for cars. However, the biggest issue is with old cars; a lot of older cars need Taio Yuden CD-R blanks, as these old cars do not work well with the cheaper CDs you see at big box stores.

@marklambie there are a few different variations even for the factory sound system You can read all about them on here 2013 Grand Caravan Sound System. From looking through it, it appears as if all of them accept MP3 files. The MP3 file recording media supported by the radio are CDDA, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3, and CDDA+MP3. I suggest that you use CD-R and "burn" your files as MP3's to the CD. The rest will all depend on what computer OS you are using, what software you have etc. It would be far beyond the scope of this forum to get into those minute details.
