Insert two guitar picks into the metal latches on the left side of the floppy drive. They should go between the metal tab (red box) and the plastic case.

You may be able to use a spudger to help get the guitar picks in place.

Tilt up the left side of the floppy drive.

Pull the floppy drive diagonally to disengage the right side from the frame stiffener.

To reinstall the floppy drive, you may need to put a spudger halfway between the two guitar picks to get the sheet metal floppy bracket to clear a tab in the side of the plastic case.
