Make sure the RAM stick lines up correctly with the spacing in the slot. As you can see, it is important you position the RAM facing the right way, otherwise it will not fit correctly and you may damage your new stick(s) of RAM.

Take the RAM out of the package, handling only the edges so as not to damage it. Be sure not to touch any of the gold pins on the bottom edge as well.

The RAM slots can be found beside the fan. They are highlighted in a light blue – dark blue pattern, and you will already likely see one or two sticks already installed in the slot(s) so you won’t miss it.
