Hot Tools HPK12 Thermal Fuse Replacement

Ir para o passo 1This guide shows the proper steps to replace the thermal fuse in a Hot Tools HPK12 flat iron. Before starting, carefully read over the ifixit troubleshooting guide to address what issue your iron is having and if the thermal fuse is what needs to be replaced. As always, be sure the iron is disconnected from power and cooled for at least 45 minutes before beginning. Under no circumstance should the iron be turned on until it is correctly and completely reassembled.

Remove round plastic cover near cord base by prying under the side with the metal spudger.

Flip the device and remove the other round plastic cover near the base of the cord.

Use the Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the 5.5mm PH1 screw and washer under the plastic cover and set both aside.

Use your JIS #0 screw driver to remove the two 6mm “J0” screws that are attached to the flat iron base and set them aside.

Lift the backing plate upwards to remove it from the flat iron.

Use the Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove two 4mm “PH0” screws that attach the circuit assembly to the flat iron base.

Lift heating plate and circuit assembly away from flat iron case and flip it over.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

do you have to replace the thermal fuse if you want it to work? And where would I get a new thermal fuse?
How do I check to see if the fuse is good or not and can I use a fuse from a different straightener to replace it cause my sister is hounding me to fix it for her

Mall You TOLD US Is How to Take The Thing as part & What Part is What?
Mans what Needs to be Replaced .. besides Telling is to Go Buy another Fuse ! Or even when We Cut The Wires Exactly How we’re Surpose To I GUESS TWIST THE NEW WIRES TOGETHER?? And use Some black electric Tape ! Besides How do We Check the fuse ?? By taking it apart ? Then putting it back together & wait a week for a new fuse???

& this is My Big Fat Deep Curl That Broke Few Times from hanging and Falling on the Floor intill I used some gorilla glue ! I use to Keep the Box n buy from marshals so when it Stoped Working I would Clean it & Take it Back to the Store For a Even Trade ! & it always Worked too
this particular one Cost atleast $30 + and is like My BFF I’m !#^&@@ OFF
