GE CAFE Range Replacement of Touch Screen/Controller

This question is for GE Cafe dual oven model CC2S950P2M1S1 or any similar model. The extra C in front indicates a Canadian model.

Just thinking ahead, I noticed that there is an info option on the touch screen menu of the display panel that provides the model # and software version.

If this controller ever needs to be replaced, does a GE technician or a person with the right tools have to program this controller to match the particular model. If not, how does the controller board identify the range model?

I couldn't find the mini manual for the oven online (GE p/n 31-17271) but here's a link that shows where it may be located in the oven or if it's not there how you can get it.

Normally, mini manuals have the diagnostic test procedures and the wiring diagram and sometimes they may also contain other information like what you're after but not always

I'm not sure if this information also applies to Canadian GE appliances or not. If the manual is not found anywhere in the oven, it never hurts to ask

It is a double oven model, so in all likelihood it will be located behind the control panel. I will keep this in mind for the future.
