@theodorosne5063 for now this is just a placeholder. The OM601.913 should be the 2.0 (Diesel) model of the Om601 engine series build somewhere between 1983 and 2000.

Does it still turn over properly etc.? If so, then the issue most likely related to a worn out fuel injection pump or a bad fuel pump relay. What have you checked? Changed all the filters yet? When it is hot and does not start, have you opened to fuel cap to see if your MB will then start when the cap has been opened? What exact year is your engine?

@theodorosne5063 here is the Mercedes Benz Om601 Engine Service Manual We would need to know what injection pump this model has. Good to know about this being a Vito, since that eliminates the fuel pump relay :-) but do check the gas cap. If it is not vented properly, your engine can create a a vacuum in the fuel tank, restricting fuel flow which could have the symptoms you are describing. Of course, it is also possible that this is related to worn gasket (O-rings) on your fuel injector pump. One of the things I would check when this happens is the fuel flow on the pump itself. Crack one of the injector lines and see if you have fuel coming out.
