Charging pin not working

@manish36089 it's a bit old but just came across this on Answers. Anyhow, start with a new battery. You did never say how old the battery was etc. Next you want to make sure that your charger is working. It's a barrel connector with a negative on the outside and the positive in the centre,. Check the voltage on that with a multimeter. It should be somewhere between 3.6V and 4.2V.

If all that is ok then you need to think that this may be caused by a bad charging port on the motherboard. Disconnect your battery, plug the charger in and measure the voltage on the battery connector. It should be in the same range as the charger voltage was. Now it's time to disassemble your phone.

For that use the Nokia 1208 Lvl 1 2 SM and go to page number 11 to start. Next use the QUICK TROUBLE SHOOTER - CHARGING Nokia 1208 Quick Troubleshooter Charging

(page 16 in the same SM) to measure the components listed. Make sure that those are okay.

Now if all of that checks out and you need to do some further troubleshooting. You will need to check the circuitry for the battery charging IC (LITTI). Use the Nokia 1208 Lvl 3 4 SM and start off by checking the Troubleshooting flowchart for the "Phone does not switch on" page 55 of the SM

Anything past that will be related to the circuitry on the motherboard. Now you will need Nokia 1200 RH 99 100 Schematics and the right tools and skills to check the charging circuitry.
