Our camera has a hair between the lenses. Can it be removed?

Yes, but you will need to dissassemble it which can be hard for a beginner.

@jonhoward you can always look at this guide Substituição da placa-mãe e do motor da lente da Canon PowerShot SX60 HS or something like this video. If you think you can tackle it, go for it. Just remember that you best keep an excellent diary when you take it apart. Document every step, especially if you need to take the lens apart. There are a lot of small gears and mechanisms that may be difficult to put back together.
We do not know you comfort and experience level. Only you can answer if this is something you want to try.
