Screen Separated From Body - Stripped Threads, Snapped Webcam Cable
This MBP was pushed way past impending doom warning signs, and eventually a hinge gave out, screen hinge screws stripped the threads of the screen assembly on 3 of 4 screw holes, WiFi/BT cables snapped along with webcam cable. The screen assembly completely separated away from the body with no connections of any kind remaining.
I have new hinges, new antennas, new LVDS cable. The screen works, the antennas work, but I'm left with a torn webcam cable sticking out the bottom of the screen (as picture) and cannot attach the screen as the screws won't tighten - the threads in the screen assembly are no good.
Is there an easy way to work out the correct webcam cables to resolder back together with the screen assembly still in one piece?
Please could any one also recommend a work around to get reliably tight screws attaching the screen to the hinges?
Willing to give up on the webcam as not going to remove the screen glass but it's a write off if I cannot get the screen attached. Full screen assembly replacement is cost prohibitive also.
Thanks.
