Dishwasher won't drain when hot.
My Whirlpool dishwasher (WDT720PADM2) won’t drain during or at the end of the cycle. You can hear the motor running during the cycle and at the end, but no water drains. There is dirty water in the bottom of the dishwasher when it finishes. If I hit the cancel/drain button immediately after the cycle ends, it won’t drain, but if I wait for it to cool (about 30-60 minutes), it drains completely. There doesn’t appear to be any kind of clog, because the water flow is strong when it drains.
This problem has been happening intermittently for over 2 years. Two years ago, I bought a replacement pump, but the dishwasher started working before it arrived. Off and on, this has continued to happen for a few weeks at a time, and we just run a rinse cycle until it fixes itself.
I ended up replacing the pump, but it didn’t make a difference. Any ideas?

I have the same problem when it’s hot it will not
Drain
Have run diagnostics by entering any three buttons quickly three times in a row
Dishwasher passes
just wanted add don’t hear the pump coming on when it’s hot and I hit the cancel button, I’ve tried holding it in. That doesn’t help either. This has not been fixed. no solution yet
i’m going to experiment with different settings. I usually run with hot water setting, but not heated dry. Going to run it without hot water setting will let you know it’ll take a few days.

Pingme, I have already posted previously that these dishwashers use a pump that CANNOT handle consistent use of the "sanatize" and/or extended heating options. When sanatizing, the water is so hot the pump stops working or degrades after each use until it is bad. After it cools down, it will work again but the damage is done. Get a replacement pump, replace it and stop using "sanatize" or extended heating and it will work. It has for me since I replaced my pump. When the cycle ends, pull out your trays and make sure there is no "standing water" on any dish (turn them over). They will finish drying quickly since the dishes are still very hot. Good luck.
