Hello,
I have an iMac 27 inch late 2012, but the logic board on it is dead. It seems like finding a replacement for the logic board is going to be difficult, and I’m not sure if it’s worth saving.
That said, is there any way to convert it to just a display? The monitor on it works great. I’m guessing this is a “no,” but I thought I’d ask before I figure out how to recycle it.

@stanfordalan it might be possible but that will depend on the LCD. We will need to know the exact make and model of your panel for that. Check the label on the back of the panel and let us know what you see on that. The principal of this can be seen on this guide Universal LCD driver Technique
