note 10 temperature too low

hello, my note 10 fell down but everything was alright until the battery run out and i plugged it in and i got the msg “Your phone's temperature is too low. Charging will continue when the temperature returns to normal"

the phone still works fine while plugged in but wont charge past 1% i already checked the wireless charging card in the back and it seems ok

There seems to be a problem with the wireless assembly’s contact to the mother board which has a temp sensor attached. Give your phone a gentle press on the back just under the camera and a little bit to the right. This is just a temporary fix as the wireless charger will probably lose contact again. Hope this helps.

!&&* yeah man, it works. Took some firm pressure but I'm charging now. Been scared to unplug my phone thats been stuck at 1% all day long. Thank you! I saw a YouTube video of a guy using a wood clamp to do this but I don't have a clamp. I tried squeezing the phone but it didn't work until I tried in the spot you indicated.

This worked immediately! I had been on 1% for over a day and my phone kept telling me to connect the charger even though it was connected. I pressed in this exact spot for about 5-10 seconds and within 5-10 seconds, it started charging. I am able to charge it fully!! Thank you SO SO SO much!!!

I replaced the wireless charging cable and still had the same problem. So I folded up a small square piece of paper and placed it on top of the connection and installed the back glass and so far it’s been working with no issues.

Hey Juan I have the same issue with my phone , back glass is damaged and phone has been dropped quite a few times. The last 1 month or so I've been getting by with pressing the phone in various places and getting it to charge but today it won't charge properly at all no matter how many times or how much I press the back.

Looks like I need to get it fixed , do you know exactly what the issue is ?

The temperature sensor is still attached to the wireless charging coil so that will need replacing. But from what I’ve heard from other repair shops, they have a hard time finding that coil. And be careful with the connector. In this series of phone, they switched to a physical connector and in some cases, techs have damaged the connector, either on the board or just the coil itself.

Try clamping the device with a bit of pressure, not too much or you'll brake the screen/glass but with a bit of pressure it will keep the connection to the wireless coil better. Kind of like the Xbox red ring of death fix to put an extra washer around the cpu mount but yea probably the same results, it will work but for how long.

It's my understanding that this is a pretty widespread issue with the Note 10 and the Note 10 plus. I've attempted to address this issue with several customers and here's what I've learned… The connector that attaches the NFC coil to the motherboard breaks connection with the motherboard. This is something that will need to be handled by a shop that performs microsoldering. It is still possible that this issue is caused by a faulty thermistor on the wireless charging coil, but in my experience (five devices all with the same outcome), it has always been a motherboard issue.

I would like to see Samsung step forward and address this issue, as it seems to affect a large enough percentage of these devices.

Turn phone completely off. Remove sd and at&t cards. I left my off for about 20 minutes, while I put the cards in my old phone. I plugged in the phone that wouldn't charge. Bam!! Started charging again. I do not know if this is a temporary fix, but as of now it charged to a full battery. The phone is a galaxy note 10 plus.

So I tried this after being stuck at 4% on the charger. When I turned it back on it was at 27%. I tried to run mobile games to kill the battery at 1% last night and it wouldn't. I think the phone actually charges but it just doesn't realize it at the time?

It likley is a faulty sensor, see if it responds to a warmer temperature, not to hot though. If it doesnt work think about replacing the temperature sensor

room temp here is 37° and even while it is off i still get this msg, so its always a too llwo temp msg, the prob is i dont know how many sensors there are and where r they

In the past it was on the nfc. Anybody figure out where they moved it to now? battery maybe?

Is there a temperature sensor in the battery as well?

I think it's in the earpiece speaker, but I'm not 100% sure

So this started with me last night.

Got stuck at 1% and tried to kill the battery with hi-res games and it wouldn't die after 10 min.

Took my otter box off and put it under a blanket and went to bed and it charged to 60%.

Called T-Mobile and they said it was actually a Samsung software problem, and we're basically SOL until Samsung actually fixes it. Said if it completely dies they will replace it but it's probably just gonna happen again. He recommended factory reset as it has helped for others.

Phone gets down to 4% on the charger for about 15 min. I take it off charger, take the SD and Sim card out and let it sit for 20 min.

Turned it on and im at 27% now…

I have come to 2 conclusions: Samsung is robbing us and seem to not have any plans to fix it, and that the phone is actually charging while the battery logo is flashing, the phone just doesn't recognize it until you restart it. I'm about to see after another 15 min and update.

Edit: charged for 15 more min. Restarted. Stayed at 27% for about a minute, and since typing this edit, I have dropped to 10%

I have a note 1O plus that I have changed the charging port, battery, and coil on over and over again and I am still getting the battery is too cold to charge warning. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
